Inspired by my travels and immersed in the textures and colours of diverse cultures, I create textile art that embodies a spirit of exploration. My process begins with hand-dyeing natural fibres like cotton, silk, and linen, providing a rich foundation for my expressive compositions. Whether painting directly on to fabric, building layered collages, or printing my own photographs on to mixed backgrounds, I embrace the unexpected, allowing the materials and my intuitive, colourful mark-making to guide the evolution of each piece.
Extensive hand and machine stitching adds depth and dimension, transforming the fabric into tactile expressions of my years of experiences and observations. My art, ranging from quilts and hangings to scarves and paintings, invites viewers to share in my journey of discovery through my love of art textile practice.
